🏈 NFL Week 5 Recap & Week 6 Preview: Back to Business
Week 5 was a rollercoaster for – actually nevermind the week – the games were each their own roller coaster! There were some highs, some real lows, and one bye week that left us waiting for more. Sunday was looking fantastic with some solid blow outs, but then the ‘Witching Hour” as they call it on the Red Zone, sure did turn things a$$ over teakettle. But that’s football. Let’s break it down and then look ahead to Week 6, where the spotlight is as bright as it gets.

Lions 37, Bengals 24
Detroit did what Detroit does again, taking control early and never letting up. This a team that can squash you like a bug.
Raiders 6, Colts 40
Ouch. The Raiders were never in it, outplayed on both sides of the ball. A game to forget, and one they’ll need to bounce back from fast.
Steelers – Bye Week
No action for Pittsburgh this week, but sometimes a break is just what you need before heading back into divisional play. But Aaron Rogers was sure getting the love from the previous weeks meme worthy moments
Commanders 27, Chargers 10
Washington looked sharp, with Daniels steady and the defense suffocating. A convincing win that felt like a statement.
Chiefs 28, Jaguars 31
A hard-fought game, but KC came up just short. Mahomes gave them a chance, but Jacksonville held firm at the end. I can’t tell if the Chiefs lost or the Jags won. the Jaguars QB tripped over his center, then himself, and still managed to crawl into the end zone for a touch down. Like Bambi on ice.
✨ That’s the Week 4 recap : so much satisfaction and dissapointment all in one weekend.
🔮 NFL Week 6 Preview: What to Watch
✨ Let’s see what Week 6 has in store for our nervous systems. See the full schedule at NFL 2025 – WEEK 6 Schedule | NFL.com
Lions @ Chiefs
The matchup of the week. Detroit’s momentum meets KC’s hunger to bounce back. Expect fireworks. I’m not sure if I’m excited or nervous.
Raiders vs Titans
Two struggling teams, one chance to reset. For Vegas, this has to be about pride as much as points.
Steelers vs Browns
Fresh off the bye and straight into rivalry mode. Pittsburgh knows how to win ugly, and this is the stage for it.
Commanders @ Bears
Prime time spotlight. If Washington plays as sharp as they did in Week 5, this should be theirs to take.
Rams @ Ravens
This one’s going to be fun. The Ravens’ might have Lamar Jackson back, but the Rams’ offense has been finding ways to push the ball downfield.
🎯 Evie’s Picks – Week
Lions @ Chiefs → …I’m going to have to go with the Chiefs. I just can’t doubt them.
Raiders vs Titans→ …Raiders. This week they’re going to take care of business.
Steelers vs Browns→ …Steelers.
Commanders @ Bears → …Commanders
Chiefs @ Jaguars (MNF) → …Chiefs

✨ Final Thoughts
Week 5 brought highs, lows, some very loud “NOoooooos” and quite a few “Yesssssses” but it’s all part of the rhythm of the season. The Lions kept rolling, the Commanders impressed, the Chiefs stumbled, and the Raiders flat-out collapsed. Now it’s on to Week 6, where Detroit and KC headline the slate, Pittsburgh dives back into divisional play, and we get a tasty Rams vs Ravens bonus matchup. Buckle up — this season isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
