CFL Week 15 Roundup & Week 16 Look Ahead

The CFL season is hitting the stretch run, and things are getting spicy. In our CFL Week Week Roundup and Week 16 Look Ahead, we’ll talk about how week 15 gave us everything — upsets, blowouts, nail-biters, and even a 48-point outburst from Montreal that nobody saw coming. With the playoff race tightening and every game starting to feel like must-win territory, there’s no room for slip-ups.

This week, we’re breaking down the biggest takeaways from Week 15, looking ahead to the can’t-miss matchups in Week 16, and — of course — locking in my picks. Spoiler alert: it’s getting harder to bet against Hamilton, and I’m not ready to give up on Winnipeg just yet. But let’s focus: CFL Week 15 Roundup & Week 16 Look Ahead

🏈 CFL Week 15 Roundup

🐯 Tiger-Cats 32 @ Blue Bombers 21

The Ticats were buzzing, and Winnipeg just couldn’t find their rhythm. Hamilton’s defence forced turnovers at key moments, and suddenly the Bombers are looking more shaky than scary.

🦁 Lions 38 @ Redblacks 27

BC finally roared back to life. Vernon Adams Jr. looked comfortable again, and while Ottawa hung around for most of the game, the Lions had too much juice down the stretch.

⚓ Argonauts 31 vs. Elks 30

This one was way too close for comfort if you’re an Argos fan. Toronto barely escaped with the W, while Edmonton just can’t shake that “so close, but not enough” curse.

🪽 Alouettes 48 @ Roughriders 31

Boom. Montreal went off. After weeks of frustration, the Als dropped nearly 50 on Saskatchewan. The Riders’ defence looked stunned — and Montreal suddenly looks dangerous again.

📊 Standings Snapshot (after Week 15)

  • East: Hamilton and Toronto are battling for control, with Montreal showing signs of resurgence.
  • West: Saskatchewan still in the driver’s seat, but Calgary and BC are both heating up. Winnipeg’s inconsistency is starting to hurt.

🔮 CFL Week 16 Look Ahead

🪽 Alouettes @ ⚓ Argonauts — Friday, Sept 19

Montreal’s offence is rolling, Toronto barely survived Edmonton. If the Als keep cooking, this could be another big night.

🦁 Lions @ 🐎 Stampeders — Friday, Sept 19

Two West heavyweights. BC finally found their groove, but Calgary’s been steady all season. Expect fireworks in this one.

💣 Blue Bombers @ 🦦 Redblacks — Saturday, Sept 20

Winnipeg has to get back on track, but Ottawa’s been a sneaky spoiler. If the Bombers lose this one, panic buttons might start getting pushed.

🛡️ Elks @ 🐯 Tiger-Cats — Saturday, Sept 20

Hamilton’s coming off a big win over Winnipeg and looks tough at home. The Elks keep coming close but can’t finish. Ticats should handle business here.
