🏒 NHL Week 5: Nov 3 – 9, 2025
Canadian teams + the heavy-hitters we love to watch
And again, a gentle reminder that this is not the whole schedule. Instead, I like to keep things focused on the games that matter most. For that reason, my attention stays on the Canadian NHL teams and a few of my favourite ones from the south. In other words, these are the matchups that catch my eye and keep the week interesting. Of course, if you want to see the full league lineup, you can always find it over at NHL.com. After all, every fan has their own list of must-watch games, and that is exactly how it should be.

Still Early But Getting Interesting
That’s Week 5 in the NHL, and the storylines are starting to take shape. To begin with, Montreal continues to make noise at the top of the Atlantic and shows no sign of slowing down. At the same time, Winnipeg keeps building momentum and quietly leads the West, which is no small feat. In addition, Vancouver stays steady in the middle of the pack, proving that slow and steady can still win games. However, Edmonton is only beginning to stir, and there is still a lot of work to do if they hope to climb. Even though they have shown flashes of brilliance, consistency remains their biggest challenge. Meanwhile, Calgary keeps looking for a spark that lasts longer than one period, but progress has been uneven at best. As for Toronto, they continue to be Toronto, talented but unpredictable, and sometimes that is half the fun. Likewise, Ottawa keeps scrapping for every point and refuses to fade quietly. In the end, it is shaping up to be a very Canadian November, unpredictable, messy, and full of energy.
